Comments: Yeah, I'm not a fan. This beer was free (thank goodness). I was hoping to avoid this one, but I had exhausted (so I thought), all of my beer options on site and I had to take one for the team. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Ever. Having said that, I happened across this article in the WSJ yesterday at dinner (after I sampled this beer) that some of you might find interesting. Also, after reading the article I was driven to the http://www.beerinsights.com - lots of good info about the business side of the industry there.

Comments: So a lot of folks buy this beer. It is the King of Beers, and all. For a long time I didn't have much of an appreciation for Bud. I've tried to be more objective, and not dismiss it, just because it's a macro. I bet if macro haters (myself included) tried this blind, they'd think it was pretty good. This was the perfect setting to give it a whirl - it was free, there weren't many selections offered at the cocktail hour, and I hadn't "reviewed" it. It's a pretty decent beer. I can understand why so many folks buy it - an almost unlimited marketing budget, it's cheap, and it's pretty good.

Comments: I felt obligated to have a Molson at the hockey game. The game was between two teams based in the US, but I really thought we should give some respect to our neighbors to the North for introducing hockey to us. The beer was pretty good. Next time we're celebrating anything Canadian, this will be a must have beer.

Comments: Yeah, it's not bad. It's not really great. If you're having an island themed dinner or something like that, it's worth a go. I wouldn't say there is much to distinguish this beer vs. the other macro beers out there.

Comments: Had a lovely dinner with my wife and our neighbor. Sawasdee never disappoints on the food front. It's our favorite Thai joint in Indy. Unfortunately they only have the major domestic beers, and a couple of Thai beers (Singha lager and light). I had never had either of them, so I decided I better try both. The lager wasn't too bad for the style of beer. It was better than some of the American macro brews, but not as good as what I consider the standard - Budweiser. I enjoyed having the Thai beer with the Thai food, but I wouldn't seek this beer out. I think next time we're at Sawasdee, I'll stick with Miller Lite, or Bud (if I don't want a light beer).
