Comments:
After a disappointing DIPA, I thought it was time to try another new one. The Hercules DIPA hung in pretty well. It was much less sweet (which, in my book, is a good thing) than Hop Juice, but it still didn't have the strong hop profile I'm looking for. Maybe I'm misguided here, but I really haven't had a DIPA that knocked my socks off. I'd say it's worth trying, and that I enjoyed it. Just go in with proper expectations.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest that you don't want a Double IPA or a Triple IPA. The typical thing to do in these styles is to also increase the malt character along with the hops (although not necessarily in the same ratio). If you want an absolute hop monster that has no regard for malt balance, I'm going to suggest you try Stone Ruination if you have not had it already.

Great divide is pretty hit or miss, but through your description I think I would like this.

Rodney - thanks for the suggestion. Before this year I hadn't had much exposure to DIPAs or TIPAs. I'm thinking I don't care too much for the sweetness of many of them. I'll track down some Stone Ruination and give it a whirl.

Matt - I'd say it's worth a try. Hopefully you can find it for a bit cheaper, or a smaller bottle. I think I picked this one up when we down in Bloomington at the Big Red on College (the "superstore").
